I have used Ace Auto Services for well over 12 years to service, repair and Mot both mine and the wifes cars. I can honestly say that you would not find a better service than this. Ace Auto Services came recommend by family as a trustworthy garage at which to have my 350Z serviced. It is a bit out of the way for me as I live in South Derbyshire but I wanted to use a garage where I knew they wouldn't take advantage of my lack of knowledge about cars. This was the first service my 350Z was getting since I bought it. I also wanted AAS to have a look at the fault light for the airbags/seatbelt that had recently come on. Finding the garage was easy enough (postcode matches perfrectly to location on my SatNav!) and you drive into a cavernous workspace off the main street. I was greeted by the owner (Adam) and one of the mechanics (Roy) and given a cup of coffee (very welcome at 830am) and explained the issues regarding the fault light. Adam told me that based on the mileage the car only needed a minor service and an oil change so it shouldn't be too expensive but, seeing as this was the first service under my ownership I asked them to give it a full service. They also pointed out that there was no guarantee that they could fix the airbag/seatbelt fault as it may have been a problem with the electronics. AAS had arranged a courtesy car (Renault Megane) for me to use during the day (this was just to get me home and back) which is a nice little runner. I received a text from AAS at around 3pm telling the car was ready for pick up. When I got there the fault issue had been rectified and was explained to me. The fault light was on because the on-board computer memory hadn't cleared. The car had also been cleaned and the tyre pressures checked. It has been running very well over the last few days and I would have no hesitation recommending this garage to anyone. (The price reported includes the fault investigation.)

If you're looking for a garage to take your car to and don't want to be ripped off with additions to your bill or spoken down to because 'you wouldn't understand' then Ace Autos is the place to go. All the guys are friendly, will explain anything technical without any jargon and are always ready to have a laugh with you. I've been to a few garages before Ace but having been taking my cars there since the early nineties know this is the best garage in Nottingham.
